Brain Awareness Open House

Brain Awareness Open House is an annual event hosted by NCOG and held at University of Washington Seattle main campus. We invite neuroscientists and neuroscience-related organizations from the Seattle area to come and share their knowledge and love of neuroscience with local high schoolers.

The main goals of this event are to:

1. educate about neuroscience
2. excite the future generation of neuroscientists
3. dismantle the stereotypes of what it “looks like to be a scientist”
4. bolster public science communication skills of neuroscience trainees.
